Esta política explica qué datos trata la app Garfio («Garfio para YouTube - PiP Free» en el App Store) y su extensión de Safari. El responsable es Miguel Ángel Díaz López. Contacto: hola@miguelangel.me.
La extensión de Safari
La extensión sólo actúa en páginas de YouTube (youtube.com, m.youtube.com, music.youtube.com y vídeos de YouTube incrustados) para ofrecer imagen en imagen, velocidad, subtítulos, sonido en segundo plano y filtrado de anuncios. Todo ese trabajo se hace en tu dispositivo.
- No guardamos ni enviamos tu historial, los vídeos que ves, tus búsquedas ni el contenido de las páginas.
- Los subtítulos se procesan localmente para mostrarlos en imagen en imagen.
- La extensión sólo se comunica con la app Garfio de tu dispositivo para comprobar si tu suscripción está activa, y le envía avisos de uso anónimos (por ejemplo, que se ha abierto imagen en imagen).
Datos que recoge la app
No pedimos nombre, email ni cuenta. Usamos estos servicios de terceros:
- Firebase Analytics (Google): eventos de uso anónimos (pasos de la configuración inicial, uso de imagen en imagen, si la suscripción está activa) y un identificador de instalación de la app. Sirve para entender cómo se usa la app y mejorarla.
- Firebase Crashlytics y Performance (Google): informes de fallos y datos de rendimiento, para corregir errores.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging, In-App Messaging y Remote Config (Google): un token para enviarte notificaciones si las permites, mensajes dentro de la app y ajustes de configuración.
- RevenueCat: un identificador anónimo y el estado e historial de tus compras en el App Store, para activar las funciones Premium.
Los pagos los procesa Apple; nunca recibimos los datos de tu tarjeta. Estos datos no se vinculan a tu identidad, no se usan para publicidad ni para rastrearte entre apps o webs de otras empresas, y no los vendemos.
Base legal y conservación
Tratamos estos datos por nuestro interés legítimo en mantener y mejorar la app y, en el caso de las compras, para cumplir el contrato de suscripción. Se conservan el tiempo que fijan los proveedores (por ejemplo, la retención configurada en Firebase) o el necesario para gestionar tu suscripción.
Tus derechos
Puedes pedir acceso, rectificación o supresión de tus datos, u oponerte a su tratamiento, escribiendo a hola@miguelangel.me. Si borras la app, el identificador de instalación deja de usarse. También puedes reclamar ante la Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
Menores
La app no está dirigida a menores de 13 años y no recogemos conscientemente sus datos.
Cambios
Si cambiamos esta política, publicaremos la nueva versión en esta página con su fecha.

This policy explains what data the Hooks app ("Hooks for YouTube - PiP Video" on the App Store, called Garfio in Spanish) and its Safari extension process. The controller is Miguel Ángel Díaz López. Contact: hola@miguelangel.me.
The Safari extension
The extension only acts on YouTube pages (youtube.com, m.youtube.com, music.youtube.com and embedded YouTube videos) to provide Picture in Picture, playback speed, captions, background audio and ad filtering. All of this happens on your device.
- We do not store or send your browsing history, the videos you watch, your searches or page content.
- Captions are processed locally to show them in Picture in Picture.
- The extension only talks to the Hooks app on your device to check whether your subscription is active, and sends it anonymous usage signals (for example, that Picture in Picture was opened).
Data the app collects
We do not ask for your name, email or an account. We use these third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics (Google): anonymous usage events (setup steps, Picture in Picture use, whether the subscription is active) and an app installation identifier, to understand and improve the app.
- Firebase Crashlytics and Performance (Google): crash reports and performance data, to fix bugs.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging, In-App Messaging and Remote Config (Google): a token to send you notifications if you allow them, in-app messages and configuration settings.
- RevenueCat: an anonymous identifier and the status and history of your App Store purchases, to unlock Premium features.
Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your card details. This data is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and is never sold.
Legal basis and retention
We process this data based on our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app and, for purchases, to perform the subscription contract. It is kept for the period set by each provider (for example, the retention configured in Firebase) or as long as needed to manage your subscription.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to hola@miguelangel.me. Deleting the app stops the use of its installation identifier. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
